kindling and It's Clinical Application

Abstract
Kindling is an animal model of epilepsy describing the emergence of progressively increasing epiletiform response to repeated electrical stimuli. The phenomenological aspects of kindling has provided many powerful insights to the understanding of
human
epileptogenesis. Nervous system plasticity and even to the development of psychopathology. However. The proper clinical application warrants vigorous efforts toward the detailed elucidation of the basic mechanisms and the validation of the model
to
be
extrapolated in human condition. The scope and the practical relevance of kindling is discussed.
